Serene, Moody, Sentimental, Vibrant: These are the emotions evoked by the work of the established New Zealand artist Dalene Meiring. Her canvases are characterised by a rich, warm, palette that is easy on the eye, they invite contemplation and reflection. Her passion for experimentation with texture, colour and different mediums produce a unique finish the observer finds compelling.

Dalene was born in Sasolburg, South Africa in 1965 and moved to New Zealand in 1998; initially she studied under the prominent artist Theresa Oliver and at the University of South Africa.

Her work can be found in leading galleries, private and corporate collections and has been published successfully to popular acclaim.
