Chris Parsons was born in 1969 and was encouraged at a young age to start drawing and painting by reading comics and books. During school years the only lesson he looked forward to was art. Upon leaving school enrolled at a local college to further his academic studies including A’ Level art and design. In 1989 Chris decided to study an arts foundation course. In 1998 he decided to start his own business at St.Nicholas market, Bristol. As well as displaying landscapes he was commissioned for portraits, graphic design and sign writing. Whilst having some success with this business venture he had an inclination he was in the wrong surroundings for his paintings to be appreciated. With this in mind he approached an established art gallery in the centre of town. His work was accepted and it was delighted when they began to sell.
