Krystyna studied 3D Design, Ceramics with Glass at De Montfort University, Leicester, after an introduction to pottery at local evening classes grew from a hobby to more of an obsession. After graduating with a B.A.(Hons) in 1984 she opened her own design studio in Leicestershire, producing one-off and small production runs of ceramics, exhibiting in galleries throughout the UK and at that time supplying John Lewis in Oxford St. London. A couple of years later Krystyna began training in the martial art of Taekwon-Do in order to force herself out of the workshop and do something completely different as a hobby. This too became more than a hobby and in 1990 Krystyna earned a first Dan Black Belt and opened her own Taekwon-Do school in 1991. Now in 2010 Krystyna has been instructing Taekwon-Do at Parklands Leisure Centre in Oadby, Leicester for 19 years and is a 6th Dan International instructor and examiner with the International Taekwon-Do Federation. Krystyna has been commissioned to design sculptural awards and trophies for her Taekwon-Do organisation and is now sought after to produce individual achievement awards for dignitaries around the world.
