In 2002 we moved in to the new purpose built gallery and now have nearly 2000 sq ft over two floors showing some of the most interesting work from both established and up and coming artists in a friendly warm atmosphere, there is always a cup of coffee ready for you while you look around at your leisure.
John & Jenni Snape have over 50 years of experience between them, last year being the anniversary of 30 years at Croft Wingates. Their staff in the gallery are knowledgeable and very helpful.
Our home approval service is very popular. Pictures can be taken home to try in your own environment before purchasing, giving you an instant idea of how they are going to look on your own wall. Interest Free Credit is another available option on larger items and a full bespoke picture framing service with a wide choice of options on frames and mounting.
So whatever you are looking for be assured of a warm welcome at Croft Wingates where the coffee bar is always bustling and you are very welcome to join us. The Most recent development at Croft Wingates is that we have knocked through into next door, giving us another room to display pictures and sculpture from either current or new artists to the gallery. This new light and airy space is a great new feature to the gallery. So, take some time and come in and have a relaxing browse around. We are open Monday to Saturday from 9.30 am to 5.30pm and at other times by appointment. There are regular exhibitions including artists appearances and events in the gallery so keep an eye on the coming events page or better still let us add your details to our mailing list and we will invite you along either by post or email. Croft Wingates has been involved in ‘the picture business’ since 1975 and over the past 30 or more years have seen a big change in the ‘art world’. 
Stocking a mixture of original and limited edition work from artists based at home in the UK and internationally there is always a wide collection for you to come in and look at.
